Hi Ivo I love your essays but I don’t agree exactly. Rutte should push back and correct what trump thinks about how much europe does actually pay to NATO and ukraine. Much more than trump says. We have to outline the negative consequences of what trump is doing. The fact he didn’t pressure Putin prolonged the war. . And the disastrous effects of his wars and coercion on human life and livelihoods of Americans and round the world. Ultimately trump is destroying America - someone needs to honestly tell him that, in confidence, behind the scenes. If you pander to his false narratives without correcting him, he will keep asking for more and more.
